I want to share a story. My daughter is adopted and a former micro-preemie born at 24 weeks. She has cerebral palsy and was struggling with speech. At 3 years old, she had one word, dogo. In her evaluation for ECI, she qualified for speech. At this point, she had been in OT, PT and Feeding Therapy/Speech Therapy for 3 years. Still, one word. She had over 50 signs though. I started her on Haleigh’s Hope just after her 3rd birthday in August 2018. By November she had 2-3 word sentences and by January she talked in paragraphs.
